With my Spring 2020 trip indefinitely postponed, I’ve been going back through some content from previous years to add to my site. First up was to finally finish the FULL report for my 2018 Zion to Arches Hike. I finished the videos and written summary back then, but never followed-up with the full detailed report as promised… until now.

The updated trip report page now includes links to a detailed section page for each part of the hike. Each detail page includes the full day-by-day journal, its own new photo gallery, as well as a link to the segment video.
All-in-all it was over 40 pages of written description plus over 700 photos in the galleries — no wonder it took so long!

Just wondering if you have tried any of the technical canyons in Zion, or anywhere else on the Colorado plateau. My wife and I did Coyote Gulch, and one technical canyon: Pine Creek in Zion, which was superb.
Have you read any of the canyon guide books by Steve Allen or Michael Kelsey?

Thanks! Yes, Kelsey and Allen have been inspirations to me for a long time. I probably have most of their books within easy grasp at any moment while when I’m at home. I’ve never done any canyoneering, though I’d like to at some point. Cheers!
