Today I set out for a month of adventure in Utah! I won’t be doing one big hike as originally planned, but instead I’ll be hopping around for a series of hikes — both revisiting some of my favorite places and exploring some new ones as well. My goal: something fun every day in May!
The big picture plan is to do two moderate-sized loop hikes (10-14 days each). In between those I’ll do a series of shorter hikes and unique opportunities which logistically were too hard to incorporate into a thru-hike.
TBD if the Garmin link which I’ve used before will be updating as I go. They’ve changed their plans and I still need to determine how much I will be using it — especially since my phone now features SAT messaging itself (in theory — I’m anxious to see how well this works.) However, I will be going in and out of reception a lot on this trip so I hope to post updates to my Instagram (@AcrossUtah). So check there if you want to follow along. Otherwise… look for new content coming later this summer!
Cheers!

Good luck. Hope you have some memorable adventures and see some more beautiful country.
Have fun and stay safe, Jamal!
Will look forward to seeing updates on here, YT, and IG. Still trying to decide if I’m going to do a short backpack trip or another car camping trip to Utah this spring…water and weather will help determine that.
Good luck Jamal, have fun.
Great to hear about the new adventure Jamal! Will be following as you pust
Looking forward to your pics, views, adventures. Safe travels.
