From the Across Utah 2009 Trip Report<\/a><\/p>\n

Prep Day 1 — 4\/24\/2009<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am officially off to begin my adventure. Now just 2.5 days of driving across the state setting up my cache sites. All-in I\u2019m looking at 12 cache containers plus my initial pack of supplies. Seems like a lot until you think that this is all I will be eating\/wearing\/using\/doing for the next 7 weeks!<\/p>\n

Prep Day 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having lunch in Escalante. 5 cache sites set -\u2013 4 more to go. I hope they stay in place! It\u2019s raining off and on. \ud83d\ude41 Otherwise all is good.<\/p>\n

State Line<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is it! My parents dropped me off at the Utah\/Nevada state line early this afternoon. After a few pics by the \u201cWelcome\u201d sign, it was time to start walking. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
